Sukhi Singh, founder of Sukhi's Quick-N-Ezee Indian Foods, is the mastermind behind the company's innovative Indian food products and services. While she is well known for her culinary abilities, those close to Sukhi would describe her foremost as a vibrant, determined, and multi-talented entrepreneur. Sukhi began her career not as a chef but as a teacher.  She moved from India to England with her husband and used her Masters degree in English literature from Delhi University to work as a school teacher there. Soon thereafter, Sukhi opened her own successful primary school. She then moved to the US and departed from her school teaching career to combine her passion for good Indian cooking with her entrepreneurial zeal. While Sukhi's professional involvement with food officially started in 1993, her interest in "good cooking" has been with her over the past 30 years. Sukhi learned gourmet cooking at her grandmother's house in India, and broadened her expertise in India’s vast regional delicacies during travels throughout India and her time in England. Today, Sukhi is the heart of "Sukhi’s Quick-N-Ezee" and still plays an active role in all aspects of the business including production, new product development, and marketing. Sukhi has also continued to use her teaching skills, providing cooking instruction for hundreds of chefs in the food service industry and at many well-known culinary institutions including: Judith Ets Hokins Cooking School (San Francisco), California Culinary Academy (Napa) and the Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park) and Whole Foods.
