DISA is a student-run organization that tries to bring the rich heritage and culture of India to everyone here at DePaul and in Chicago. The purpose of DISA is promoting awareness of India, her people, and her culture among the American community, acting as a forum for social interaction and showcasing India as a nation.We know the difficulties of travelling thousands of miles away from home, to a completely new country, and settling down there in a student's life. We've been there too. Our aim is to assist incoming students in settling into the new environment of DePaul @ Chicago and to provide a strong support system unique to "Indians living abroad". We strive to nurture the feeling of home away from home for the Indian students and to unite Indians and the rest of the community by celebrating and learning from diversity.
