The state which came into being on 1st November 1956, have made the history by becoming the first state in India to achieve 100% literacy. Cereal is also famous for its secular character where people of three major religions co-exist. Temples, churches and mosques dot the state. There are Jewish settlers and their synagogue too. A visit to this tiny fertile friendly land will reveal a kaleidoscope of deep rooted cultures, traditions and delightful sensations.
Kerala is in south India and is bounded north by Karnataka, east and south-east by Tamil Nadu, south west and west by the Indian ocean.
